1. Material pre-processing

• Fill a spray bottle with titanium dioxide and alcohol in a 1:1 ratio and shake well.If your paint contains titanium dioxide, then you can just use white spray paint instead of the titanium dioxide and alcohol mixture.
• Spray the shaken mixture onto the plate, one layer drying and then another.Wait for drying.

2. Material test

• Because the actual engraving effect is affected by the module, material, picture and other factors, before the formal engraving, you can additionally prepare the same material to do the test.
• If you use NEJE Max 4 E80, then you can refer to the following test parameters.

3. Lightburn setting

• Place the plate on the honeycomb board and measure the height of the bottom of the plate and the module. This engraving measurement is 35mm.
• Open Lightburn and import the file. Based on the 2 diameters of the plate, draw concentric circles to help locate the pattern position, if your laser engraver has installed a camera , you can combine it with the camera to pinpoint the position.

• It is recommended to combine with the motorized z-axis to precisely control the focus. Measure the diameter of the bottom center of the plate and the diameter of the rim, as well as the distance between the bottom of the plate and the middle of the rim.
• Set the parameters. Speed 2000mm/min, power 95%, air assist off. Give the middle position and edge position set different color layers, the middle set z-axis offset 10mm, the edge part of the set z-axis offset 5mm. specific data according to the actual measurement adjustment, the principle is the motorized z-axis down to reach the optimal focal length of 25mm.

4. Clean the Plate

Wash the plate with water after engraving.
